Sandrine Heijnen started her PhD program in Physics at UCL as one of the Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) of the ActiveMatter ITN.
Her work focuses on controlling and predicting the collective behaviour of active particles while being influenced by external stimuli.
She will conduct her research under the supervision of Prof. Giorgio Volpe and Prof. Phil Jones.
Chun-Jen Chen started his PhD program in Physics at the University of Konstanz as one of the Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) of the ActiveMatter ITN.
His current project is investigating collective behaviors on active Janus colloids.
He will conduct his research under the supervision of Prof. Clemens Bechinger.
Carolina van Baalen started her PhD program in Physics at ETH Zurich as one of the Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) of the ActiveMatter ITN.
Her work focuses on active colloids confined at complex liquid-liquid interfaces.
She will conduct her research under the supervision of Prof. Lucio Isa.
